Cat senses are extraordinary. They hear sounds beyond our hearing; see things that are invisible to us; and with their sense of smell, taste and touch, experience the world around us in ways we can only imagine. Create a complete sensory activity center with the Catit Design Senses line.
Basic Feline Care Tips
Every cat is unique and will provide years of friendship and entertainment for the whole family. Cats are probably the most self-reliant pets of any you may have considered. Love, attention, understanding and a slightly whimsical attitude on your behalf will be appreciated and is normally returned in kind.
However tempting, before going out and purchasing that adorable little kitten in the store window, it would be wise to do some research. Cats generally live 15 to 20 years, some may live longer. Determine whether you and your family can handle such a long-term commitment before you get one. Remember - even though cats appear to be independent, they still need attention, exercise and play to stay healthy and strong.
To provide some guidance along the way please download your free copy of the Kitten Care Guide. The information contained in this guide will help get you off to a good start. We also offer a free booklet with the purchase of a kitten at Aquariums West with tips on how to look after your new kitten.

How to enter the store: When you get to 796 Beatty Street you can enter the store by spiraling down the stairs or if you can't handle the stairs there is an elevator at 788 Beatty, B2. You can also enter from the rear entrance off Expo Boulevard. I have a sign board to point you in the right direction. If you have something heavy to carry, I can offer you my husband, Hercules, or the amazing and strong, Dustin, to carry your purchases to your car. For Wheel chair and stroller access take the elevator from 788 Beatty to B2 and follow the sign. On weekends enter 0005 (our suite number) and one of us will buzz you in. The sign is kinda' small but look to the right and down the hall. Once you get it you'll never forget!
The art of Jim Cummins is dressing our walls. Pieces that are signed by the artist range in price from $60 - $200. What a steal! He has even brought some nifty $20 T-shirts that he has designed. These works of art would make totally original gifts.
I will be posting a video of the transformation of a basement that was once a sweat shop to the new, bigger and better Aquariums West, Vancouver's Urban Pet Store. Stay tuned.
This is the entrance on Beatty Street. There is a push button which automatically opens the door. If you need an elevator enter at 788 Beatty street and push B2. Just follow the animal characters to Aquariums West. We are now wheel chair accessible...... FINALLY! No more stairs inside the store. However, you will make a trip down a beautiful spiral staircase to our main entrance.
