We have just brought in a new line of LED lighting which has been designed and built in Austria. With the onslaught of LED lighting arriving to Canada we have discovered that all are not what they are cracked up to be. So rather than deal with a lot of returns and faulty lighting, we have decided to go with one of the best in the world. These lights carry a 2 year Manufacturer's Warranty and are slated for an expected LED life time of 60,000 hours WOW! If you were to leave your lights on 12 hours per day they would be viable for 5000 days or 13.7 years. We are in the process of switching our own salt water lights to the Vertex Marino Bianco. The difference is amazing.
There are a variety of colour schemes for your lights depending on what you are lighting, salt, corals, plants, fish etc. No need to replace bulbs every 6 - 12 months like you do with the compact fluorescents, T5's, T8's and on and on it goes. When Designing the Illumilux LED Light Fixtures, Vertex began by questioning the current state of LED functionality; what changes could be done that would make the unit more powerful, streamlined, and effective? The answer was crafted focusing on three core strengths:
The utilization of 3W Cree XPE LED's, the most efficient LED's in the industry.
Crafting the body from a durable, anodized extruded aluminum shell, allowing the entire body to serve as an effective heat sink.
A modular design, allowing Illumilux strips to be interconnected to one another, to cover any size or shape of tank, while using a unique technology to power all linked light strips from a single power cable - no tangled or excessive cords to distract from the elegance of the display.
In incorporating these features, Vertex also placed equal emphasis on the aesthetics of the product. Drawing from the acclaim of the Illumina, and answering the demand for an artistically polished unit, the Illumilux is balanced, structured, and complete.
